The Science Forum

Another thread started by someone wanting to discuss the Neal Adams Videos. I joined this conversation around the same time I was invited by BrainMan to the latest and largest on going thread on the subject. This conversation is still ongoing, but there doesn't seem to be anyone around seriously interested in discussing the EE perspective.

Its actually pretty healthy environment there.. They make a serious attempt to be fair to classifying theories. When things go quiet on something controversial like that it can be a good sign a case has been made, but its not worth anybodies effort to get into further. In ratskep it goes on and on because they are on some kind of hellbent mission which is the intellectual equivalent of ethnic cleansing, so just one post will have the enforcers swarming back in to try and close it down.

In science i notice that unless a theory has a "now" application where the immediate benefit exceeds the effort to throw out old models not a lot will happen, at least not in any dramatic way. there may be a slow turnaround over generations so subtle its hardly noticable ....the "it was always evident" thing you hear about...
